Emma is a professionally qualified careers consultant based in the Doctoral College, providing one to one career coaching, professional skills training and employability focused development opportunities for Postgraduate and Early Career Researchers. Emma’s careers work builds on over twenty years’ experience working in the people development field in HR, management and leadership development roles, spanning the public, private and charitable sector. She is keen to support researchers to enhance their self-awareness, explore their options and develop strategies to achieve satisfying careers.

Emma is a member of the national AGCAS Research Students and Research Staff Careers Task Group contributing to the development of best practice and resources to support career guidance practitioners in their work with postgraduate and early-career researchers.
